Hello Sunshine Families.

Here we are heading into the final stretch of summer holidays. We have many new families joining us including all of our fabulous Kindergarten families! All kindergarten families will enjoy a gradual start to school for which they have received a very clear schedule.  Our first week back is a short one starting with a half day on Tuesday to kick off the school year. Please note that Tuesday, September 2nd is 9 AM-12 PM only. The rest of the week will follow our usual schedule: Welcome Bell 8:55 with school start at 9:00 and 3:00 PM end of day. Be sure to send your child with a snack on Tuesday.

ALL NEW STUDENTS WILL REPORT TO THE FRONT DOOR AND ALL RETURNING STUDENTS WILL REPORT TO LAST YEAR’S ENTRANCE i.e. where they lined up last year:  )

Please be advised of the following changes and there are a few:

• an elevator is in the process of being installed for accessibility reasons
• some washrooms have been temporarily closed due to restructuring
• outside washrooms will be in placed in the inner courtyard to accommodate the remaining numbers of washrooms inside (temporary)
• front office change to be announced (temporary administrative assistant)
• a work zone for ongoing elevator construction will be temporarily in place outside close to the music portable (off limits to students)
• the gate on Ryall Crescent will be closed once daycare vehicles have left-parents will need to park elsewhere if dropping off/picking up during school hours (safety concerns with traffic flow)
