Dear Sunshine Hills Families,
Please consider joining our Parent Advisory Council (PAC). We will be holding our first PAC
meeting on Wednesday, October 2nd at 6pm in the School Library. Joining PAC is a great way
to learn more about what is happening at Sunshine Hills Elementary. PACs are forums within a
school community and they discuss matters affecting our school and the education of students.
You will get to hear from our principal, Keri Hanlon as well as our vice principal, Joshua
Campbell.
Your voices offer a tremendous value to our school. They offer a wealth of ideas and support in
the challenges that face all public schools. PACs strive to represent the diversity within their
communities and contribute to the benefit of all students by:
● providing opportunities to educate and inform you about our school
● involving you in volunteer activities
● openly discussing your concerns and aspirations for our schools
Meetings are only once per month. It’s your chance to listen and be heard. Our October PAC
meeting agenda is posted below, as are our June minutes.

We invite you to join our PAC WhatsApp community! This group will be our main channel for sharing announcements, calling for volunteers, and keeping everyone informed throughout the year. Mme Hanlon will also send out communication to parents as needed on PAC’s behalf. In recent years, we’ve noticed a drop in engagement and have faced challenges in recruiting volunteers. By joining this community, you can help us strengthen our connections and make a positive impact.
